Mid-America Management Corp. in Beachwood purchased Beckett Commons on Princeton Glendale Road in West Chester for $16.5 million in October. Chris Hodge with CBRE in Cincinnati, and Richard Frolik and Christian Williams in Chicago, represented the seller in the transaction.

The deal further signifies the investment demand for local real estate, as a slew of deals have been closing.

Williams said the buyers plan to continue to operate the 121,000-square-foot center the same, but they will try to get the last 1,500-square-foot space leased.

The status of anchor tenant Kroger has been in question for the last few months as the company has looked into building a new Kroger Marketplace a few blocks north, but did not get approval for the site, so Williams said the Kroger is here to stay for now.

Some of the center’s other tenants include Willie’s Sports Cafe, Plato’s Closet and Jack’s Pets.
